Golfing and caddie background:
Was State of Illinois Class 1A High School State Champion in 2008. Played Division 1 golf at Bradley University for 2 years. Played professional golf for 2 years. Now a PGA of America Associate Member. Have caddied for Mina for almost 4 years.
What do you love about caddying?
The thrill of being able to help Mina play well and get in contention and compete with the best in the world is a very satisfying feeling. With her being my fiance as well, it is a great sensation helping the person you care about most achieve their goals and reach dreams. Hearing crowd roars and cheering when Mina is playing well gives me a rush of adrenaline and I love every second of it.
Interesting caddie story:
I have been employed at Superstition Mountain Country Club in Gold Canyon, AZ since October 2012. But in March/April 2016 I was asked to fill in one shift per week as a locker room attendant (up until then I had worked outside and as an Assistant Pro). One of my first shifts, I was fortunate enough to meet Patrick Peterson. He is an all pro cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings. (formerly played 10 years for the Arizona Cardinals) That particular morning, I was cleaning his shoes and asked if he wanted to play golf sometime and he said definitely. I played a couple of rounds with him and my third time playing with him I shot 62 and tied the course record. He later gave me the opportunity to play professional golf for a few years, but during this time I was also very lucky to have met Mina. Its crazy to think about, but I truly believe that if I had not cleaned his shoes that morning, I don't know if I'd be in the position that I am today.
