I didn't start playing golf until age 30. 2 years later, I qualified for my 1st state open,made my first cut, and competed heavily for years in upper level amateur and mid to lower level pro tournaments.

For 17 years, my instructor was Bob Toski who not only won PGA Tour money list, but is in HOF as instructor. Today, he's 98 years old and still calls monthly to check on Alexa. My first lesson with him, he beat me up, testing my commitment, desire to learn, and toughness. Afterwords, he handed me a piece of paper and said to call number on it and say hello to Jack Nicklaus..He then proceeded to let Nicklaus, who was struggling at the time, have like he did me. Then he patted me on head and said..' Don't worry son, you'll get it someday"
